I am in my fifth and final year at HTL Leonding, studying computer science. School covers most of the basics — software development, databases and networks — and I focus on web development and machine learning. Next to that I work on my own projects to try things we do not get to in class.

Inventory
Languages, frameworks and tools I have used in school and in my own projects.
Web Development
I build web applications end to end — the interface, the server behind it and the database underneath. Most of my school projects and my own work land in this area.
- Frontends with Angular, Next.js and Blazor
- REST APIs with .NET and Node.js
- Login and user management
- Layouts that work on desktop and phone
Machine Learning
Getting data into shape, picking a model that fits and checking whether it actually works. I mostly deal with image data and classification.
- Image and video processing with OpenCV
- Training models and measuring how good they are
- Preparing and cleaning datasets
- Putting a trained model into a running application
Mobile Apps
I build apps with Flutter and Expo, so one codebase runs on both Android and iOS.
- Flutter with Dart, or Expo for React-based apps
- Local storage that keeps working offline
- Camera, location and other device features
- Talking to a REST backend
Databases
Designing the schema, writing the queries and keeping the data consistent. A large part of what we do at HTL, and one of the parts I like most.
- Relational schema design and normalisation
- SQL queries, views and stored procedures
- Migrations and test data
- Local setups with Docker
